Mailchimp to Klaviyo Migration
Mail Chimp v Klaviyo.
1 difference: dynamic product recommendations.
The result? 251% increase in Revenue per Email.
I identified that Azazie's email campaigns were way underperforming to industry benchmarks on Mailchimp and made the case to move to Klaviyo. That meant:
Building the business case — a comparison of Mailchimp vs. Klaviyo on cost, deliverability, segmentation, personalization and automation capability to justify the switch.
Negotiating pricing — securing Klaviyo at a much lower rate than Azazie's initial quote, reducing the cost barrier to migration as well as securing one of the best discounts ever seen (according to my Klaviyo rep!).
Proving the lift — running both platforms in parallel for six weeks to validate the decision with real campaign data before full cutover.
Over the test period, Klaviyo drove over $35k in revenue from just over 500k sends, while Mailchimp generated $35k in revenue from over 4.8 million sends — nearly comparable total revenue from roughly 1/10th the send volume.
Open rates told the same story: Klaviyo campaigns consistently landed in the 40–70% range, versus 5–10% on Mailchimp, thanks to better deliverability, sender reputation, and list segmentation & improved relevancy.
Hi, I'm Laura — I’m a CRM consultant for DTC and e-commerce brands. I find where a program is underperforming, build the case for what needs to change, and prove it with data. The Azazie migration above is a great example. If that's the partner you need, let's talk.
